Stress resilience is a trending term today. Media say acceptance is a stress-resilient trait. For sure acceptance is something I’ve learned in my own life. Werner Erhard said, “Happiness is accepting what is.” I love exploring what it means to be happy. In today’s political climate, it’s important, I feel, to infuse the public conversation with what it means to be happy. Do you have tips and techniques that make people happier? Ghandi said, “Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony.” I actually am happier when my actions are in complete alignment with what I think and say.
My father (may he rest in peace) always said to me, “The Bible teaches us, ‘This too shall pass’ ” but I wonder if breathing helps? Does stretching? How can I remain calm in the face of conflict.”
Did you ever think your tips would be useful to others?
What are your secrets to happiness? The media – and the public – would love to hear about it so include them in your media pitches. Then we can all practice stress resilience together. Breathe. Just breathe.
