Never Forget

Lately I walk into the kitchen and forget why I walked in there. What do you forget? Memory is a great news hook. What we humans try to remember gives you great fodder for news story ideas. Case and point: 9/11. If you enjoy living in a free society, the tragic events on 9/11 will never be forgotten and are always big news.

Today, 9/11 news making the headlines include:

How memories sear the heart,
9/11 pictures,
Celebrity participation in memorials,
Moments of silence,
Legislators, companies and animals … yes, I said animals as in the 16 year old rescue dog working 9/11.

If you don’t shed a tear watching this news, check your humanity. If you forget, unfortunately new bomb threats will help you remember. History tends to repeat itself. Maybe we can keep from our past the best and leave the rest. To that end, let’s remind each other: never forget.
