The Details

MONTH 1: Branding, Messaging and Online Press Kit Creation

Month 1 is all about laying your foundation and creating your media materials.

Clayton’s process begins with our insights questionnaire. This thought-provoking questionnaire supports you in getting clear about your messaging, helps you to identify your target audience and compels you to think more deeply and critically about your overall platform. We’ve used this questionnaire for years to get the creative juices flowing. It provides focus for your call with Michelle, considered by many to be a leading media trainer and messaging expert.

We will share Clayton’s questionnaire with you, and you will attend his 60-minute branding call LIVE. Michelle will guide Clayton through a process of deep messaging work that’ll leave him clear about his gift to the world and how to message that gift so the media and the people he most wants to serve are clear. Many people have commented that this process gives them new insight into their business direction and their brand as a whole.

In the training calls this month, Michelle will cover:

  • How press form first impressions
  • Broadcast introductions, bylined blurbs, and in-depth bios
  • How to create breaking and seasonal story ideas in any news cycle

MONTH 2: Pitching the Media

Attend LIVE as we present Clayton’s completed online press kit and go to work creating his media pitches. The two most important questions for the media are:

1) Why should they care?

2) Why should they care now?

This month we are discussing and creating pitches that naturally tie into the current news cycle, seasonal news, or what people care about most.

In the training calls this month, Michelle will cover:

  • How to pitch yourself in three sentences or less
  • The meat of your pitch
  • Perfect pitch formulas
  • Subject line secrets

To build a powerful brand, you need to create the right messages and deliver them powerfully. Michelle will coach Clayton on how to sparkle in public by developing sound bites that clearly communicate who he is and what makes his book unique.

In this final month, we will also present Clayton’s campaign results and discuss how to leverage PR
