“I was country when country wasn’t cool.” I didn’t say that, but it is a lyric from a famous country song and if you know that song, you’re probably ‘country-enough.’ I uttered the words, “I ain’t” growing up in Louisville, KY and my dad would remind me that, “Ain’t ain’t a word.” Even though I was born and raised in the South, part of the G.R.I.T.S. (Girls Raised in the South) family, I ain’t all country.

But if you are all country, today’s news cycle is all for you. The 2015 Country Music Awards is buzzing on the news feeds.

This includes:

> fashion

> notable celebrities

> food

> farms/outdoors

> home decor

> country lifestyles and of course,

> music.

I ain’t all country, but I do live in the Southeast and do eat grits. Like they say in the South, “If you expect sweet tea by simply ordering tea, you a Southerner baby.” Uh, that would be most of my family, so … . Come back y’all. I’ll have some more news tips for y’all soon enough. And tea is served on the back porch by the chickens, sweetie. Bluegrass will be playing, too. Y’all come back now, ya hear?!
